After I discovered tarot, I began to see sensitivity as a superpower, rather than a weakness, and I’ve been working this way ever since.I began studying tarot for self-exploration as a teen in the 1980s. I learned to read young, and found that retreating into the school library and losing myself in The Lord of the Rings or The Chronicles of Prydain shielded me from the noises of the too-loud playground. I had chronic allergies, asthma, and headaches, which naturally encouraged a preference for indoor activities. His first read had me crying, it was direct but it had substance. Not just him, but I come here as a safe space and sometimes when I’m being told ‘not to worry about things’ as an answer, I feel like I’m here for peace of mind, not to be told to basically chill out and leave without answers.
